ACM Sets Lineup for ‘Our Country’ Special, With Plans for a Kenny Rogers Salute

Country stars are coming together to support Canada’s COVID-19 relief efforts.

Kenny Rogers left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. In a new clip of Biography: Kenny Rogers, longtime friend and collaborator Dolly Parton pays tribute to the late legend who passed away in March.

Though the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards were pushed back to Sept. 16 from the original air date of April 5 due to the coronavirus pandemic, that didn’t stop country acts for performing for fans. On April 5, more than 20 artists joined forces for the two-hour televised special ACM Presents: Our Country on CBS.

Two country stars have paid heartfelt tribute to an icon.  In lieu of the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, which have been postponed, performers gathered together virtually on Sunday in the name of country music for ACM Presents: Our Country.

On Sunday night (April 5), country's biggest names gathered -- virtually, of course -- to celebrate the power of music with ACM Presents: Our Country. The two-hour-long event replaced the annual ACM Awards, which were originally scheduled for Sunday night in Las Vegas, though, due to the coronavirus, have been postponed to September.
