ACE Eddie Awards 2023 Date Set

K.J. Yossman The Royal Television Society’s annual RTS Programme Awards have been set for March 28, 2023. The awards ceremony, which is held at Grosvenor House every year, always attracts a sea of bold-face names from the world of television. (Pictured above: Jodie Comer attending in 2019). Last year’s winners included “Help” writer Jack Thorne, “It’s a Sin” showrunner Russell T. Davies and comedian Graham Norton, who was honored with an award for Outstanding Contribution to British Television. Entries have now opened for next year’s awards, which include three new categories — Comedy Drama, Supporting Actor – Female and Supporting Actor – Male — in recognition of the supporting performances from the acting community over the past 12 months.

The coronation of King Charles III is set in stone.

King Charles III ascended the British royal throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, last month, his official coronation date has just been set. The coronation will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London, England, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. According to the press release from Buckingham Palace, the coronation «will reflect the monarch's role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.» A source close to King Charles III tells ET that the coronation ceremony “will be shorter and simpler than 1953 but absolutely still on a scale and spectacle befitting of sovereignty, history and tradition."ET previously reported that the official event is being coordinated by the Duke of Norfolk, Edward Fitzalan-Howard, and will be a shorter ceremony than previous coronations. It will also «reflect the cultural diversity of the nation,» the source said.  Charles' eldest son, Prince William, who is the next in line to the throne, will play a significant role in the ceremony. The news, which was first reported by the UK’s, will reflect the new king's wishes for a more modern ceremony and his desires for a slimmed down monarchy.

The Walking Dead’s Maggie and Negan spin-off series has unveiled its release date.The show, called Dead City, is currently under production in New Jersey.Now, show makers have revealed that it will have a release date of April 2023 (via Digital Spy).Dead City is one of several Walking Dead spin-offs in development. Recently, Norman Reedus revealed that his new Walking Dead spin-off series will be titled Daryl Dixon. Named after the iconic character played by Reedus, the upcoming series will see him (and his crossbow) venture off to France.Programme makers also announced a further spin-off show for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) would be on the way.The Walking Dead premiered in 2010 and has run for eleven seasons. The games expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center for a four-day run from June 13-16, 2023. In addition, E3 will support “partnered digital events” taking place starting June 11 and running throughout the show. The return of E3 to in-person event for the first time in three years comes after it was suspended in 2020 because of COVID and went all-digital in 2021 — and was nixed in 2022. Owned by the ESA, E3 is being operated next year by ReedPop, the event-production company behind PAX, EGX, New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, and other events, the first time it’s handling E3.
