Bill Maher will release a stand-up comedy special, and then it may be stage curtains for the controversial comedian.During a conversation with guest Jerry Seinfeld on his “Club Random” podcast, Maher revealed that while he will continue to host his HBO show “Real Time With Bill Maher,” his forthcoming special may mark the end of his stand-up career.“I’m going to stop doing [stand-up],” he told Seinfeld, 70, on the May 6 episode. “I could go back. I don’t want to make a big announcement or something,” Maher, 68, continued.

Ed Sheeran has said that he is working on new music but it’ll likely be a while before it’s released.The singer-songwriter put out two albums last year, releasing the conclusion to his ‘mathematical-themed series’ ‘-‘ last May and following it up with ‘Autumn Variations’ in September.This year, however, Sheeran has maintained his focus is on touring. He is currently in the middle of the US dates on his ‘Mathematics’ world tour, which will finish in September, and told People that while he worked on new music, it won’t see the light of day for a while.“Nothing’s going to come out this year,” he said [via MusicNews].

The latest Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) figures indicate that fraud and error in the benefit system is falling after the UK Government restated its determination to drive levels down further and protect taxpayers’ money. The most-recent national statistics show that in the 2022/23 financial year, fraud and error rates fell to 3.6 per cent (£8.3 billion) from 4.0 per cent (£8.7 billion) - figures for 2023/24 are due to be published next month.

Ellen DeGeneres has spoken about her talk show coming to an end in 2022 over allegations of workplace toxicity.Last week, DeGeneres – who apart from being a talkshow host for nearly 20 years, is an actress and comedian – held the first of numerous dates on her Ellen’s Last Stand… Up Tour. During the show, she spoke about how The Ellen DeGeneres show ended in 2022 and how the ordeal affected her.In 2022, the comedian was forced to end the Ellen DeGeneres Show after a Buzzfeed News investigation accused it of being a toxic work environment, with alleged sexual misconduct, racism and workplace bullying taking place behind the scenes.Now, per a Rolling Stone report, the comedian has finally opened up about the ordeal.DeGeneres told the Los Angeles crowd she had been doing a lot of gardening since the show ended. “What else can I tell you?,” she added.
