A 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Is Joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

RuPaul’s Drag Race on VH1 is not just a show that both entertains and brings the house down with knee-slapping moments. It also serves as a beacon for young LGBTQ people who are fighting for their place in this world, says RuPaul.

“You always hope every show you do is a massive revolutionary force that changes people’s lives,” says RuPaul’s Drag Race producer Fenton Bailey, “but so rarely is that the case.” But by any metric, World of Wonder’s long-running reality show — in which ever more outrageous drag queens compete for the approval of its imperious host RuPaul — is exactly that show. Across all of its TV and digital properties, the franchise received 11 Emmy nominations this year, and if the main Drag Race competition show wins six, it will make it the fifth most Emmy-winning TV show in history. And that’s not all: After spawning 14 U.S. seasons since it first appeared in 2009, the show’s format has been exported to the UK, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Thailand and the Philippines, with Belgium and Sweden to follow next year.

Jennifer Lopez could be starring in a new MCU film in the near future, as it was revealed by Kat Coiro, the director of the upcoming series ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ during a recent interview.Coiro previously worked with Jennifer in her recent film ‘Marry Me,’ and after seeing the talented actress on set, she says that her dream is to bring the Hollywood star to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.Many other actors have made their mark in the MCU, including Glenn Close in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and most recently Harry Styles in ‘Eternals’ and Charlize Theron in ‘Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’Now it might be time for Jennifer to put on her super-suit or even her villain suit if that’s the case.

VH1 has ordered new seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked. It will mark the 15th season for the Emmy-winning Drag Race, which will also include the 200th episode.

Mrs. American Pie is an upcoming female-led comedy series following Maxine Simmons (Kristine Wiig) as she attempts to secure a place in Palm Beach high society. Cosnett will play Sergeant Tom Sanka. Based on Juliet McDaniel’s book, Mrs. American Pie hails from creator Abe Sylvia (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and director Tate Taylor (Breaking News in Yuba County). Cosnett joins a cast that includes Wiig, Ricky Martin, Alison Janney, and Laura Dern, who also executive produces. Cosnett will also be seen soon in the upcoming feature Shoulder Dance.
