Prince Andrew is set to play a "central role" in the Queen’s funeral as the Royal Family put on a united front during the national period of mourning. Following this, the Duke of York is expected to disappear from public life – although he has been reported to be caring for the Queen’s corgis, alongside his daughter Princess Beatrice.

Prince Andrew will be allowed to wear his military uniform at his late mother the Queen's lying in state vigil - but not at her state funeral.

Following the death of the Queen on September 8, the royal family has much protocol to follow. Her Majesty, who passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96, will be laid to rest on Monday 19 September and in the days leading up to - and on the actual day - there are rules that the royal family must follow surrounding dresscodes.

Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will reportedly take care of Queen Elizabeth II's beloved corgis following her death Thursday. She was 96. The Duke and Duchess of York gave Her Majesty two of her favorite breed of dogs just last year after her late husband, Prince Philip, died in April 2021 in efforts to lift her spirits.  "The corgis will return to live at Royal Lodge with the Duke and Duchess.

On Thursday evening it was reported that Queen Elizabeth II had sadly passed away at the age of 96. The last thoughts on many people's minds at that time would have been where her darling dogs would be rehomed. However, three days on, it has been confirmed that Prince Andrew, the Queen's third child, and his daughter Princess Beatrice are to take care of at least two corgis.

Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and their families were seen for the first time in public together after Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 on Thursday. The siblings were joined by Andrew's daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Anne's husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and son Peter Phillips and daughter Zara Tindal, Edward's wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and daughter Lady Louise Windsor.  The grieving family had attended a private church service that was held at Crathie Kirk in honor of the late monarch on Saturday morning.

Andrew and his two daughters were joined by two of the Queen’s children, the Princess Royal and the Earl of Wessex, the Countess of Wessex, Anne’s husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and the Queen’s grandchildren Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall and Lady Louise Windsor at the service on Saturday.

Prince Andrew could be seen comforting his youngest daughter Princess Eugenie on Saturday 10 September as they looked at floral tributes to the late Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral.The Duke of York, 62, was joined by Eugenie, 32, and his eldest daughter Princess Beatrice, 34, for a church service and visit to the flowers. Other Royal Family members including Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, 58, also attended. Princess Eugenie looked tearful as she made her way into the church, with her father placing his arm around her as they walked together.

Prince Andrew has been seen for the first time since his mother Queen Elizabeth II's death earlier this week.The Duke of York, 62, was seen driving to a service at Crathie Kirk, Balmoral on Saturday afternoon, where he was joined by other family members including his daughter, Princess Eugenie. The Queen's only daughter Princess Anne, 72, looked sombre as she was also seen in the back of a car being driven to the service.

"If anything was causing the queen stress, it was him; he was a real, real crisis." While at first it appeared that he was not traveling with the rest of the royal family to Balmoral upon the news of the monarch's death, that turned out to be untrue.
