A pill is now being sold in the UK which could help British drinkers avoid the much-dreaded hangover after a night out.
The drug, known as Myrkl, was first created by a Scandinavian pharmaceutical company in 1990. Since then, it has been 'perfected over 30 years of research and development' to become the miracle hangover cure it claims to be today.
In order for the pill to work, drinkers need to take at least two tablets an hour before drinking. They work by breaking down alcohol in the stomach, Derbyshire Live reports.
However, it's important to note that the makers say the pills will NOT prevent you from getting drunk. Despite this, clinical trials showed that those who took two pills and drank two glasses of wine were left with 70 per cent alcohol in their blood an hour later, compared to those who did not take any tablets before drinking.

A pack of 30 pills can be grabbed or £30 and is available exclusively on the company's website. The company also claims that the supplement boosts energy and immunity due to containing vitamin B which will leave users "feeling refreshed".
When a person drinks alcohol, it gets broken down by the liver into acetaldehyde which produces the compound ecetic acid in the body. It is believed that this acid is what causes symptoms of a hangover - Myrkl's makers claim the pill interferes with this process.
The pill also claims to break down alcohol into water and carbon dioxide, reducing the amount of acetaldehyde and acetic acid in the liver. The supplement was first created by Swedish medical company De Faire Medical (DFM).
Meanwhile, all the ingredients are authorised and recognised as safe by the European Food
