Tameside. Police were called to a collision between a blue Volkswagen Polo and a blue Renault Clio on Manchester Road in Audenshaw, on Friday (31 July).
The crash occurred at around 2.20pm near the junctions with Assheton Avenue and Park Road.A man, in his 40s, stopped at the scene to help and was subsequently attacked by several men, police said.During the assault, the man was knocked to the ground, where he received further injuries.
