Beyoncé may not have created adding HBCU bands to rap music, but her live concert film Homecoming brought the combination more recognition and respect. And while we may never get a full-length, studio-quality version of "Everybody Mad," other rappers are picking up the thread and playing tribute to the music of HBCUs.
