Television Group.Cherry is best known for his Academy Award-winning project “Hair Love,” an animated short film about an African-American father attempting to do his daughter’s hair for the first time.Under terms of the multi-year deal, Cherry will develop new television programming for all platforms, including cable and streaming.

Ted Johnson Soledad O’Brien will host a one-hour special for Hearst Television premiering on Friday that takes a look at the response to the early outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States.The special, Outbreak: The First Response, will have exclusive access to the Seattle and King County public health director.
