Nissa Diederich, EVP, Production at 20th Television, is leaving the Disney-owned studio.
Diederich decided to step down from the role, news shared moments ago by 20th Television President Karey Burke in a note to staff.
It comes nine months after production operations across Disney TV Studios, Hulu, Freeform and FX were consolidated under Carol Turner, which led to the departure of a number of execs including Hulu’s Mark Levenstein and Freeform’s Jayne Bieber. Turner was previously EVP and Head of Production for Disney’s other television studio ABC Signature and Diederich reported to her since that move.
Diederich previously replaced Jim Sharp to oversee production at the studio. Before that, she was EVP, Production at Touchstone Television (formerly known as Fox 21 TV Studios), having spent 20 years working at Fox.
She has overseen production on series including Glee, Homeland, This Is Us, the American Crime Story anthology, Sons Of Anarchy, The Dropout and Dopesick as well as American Horror Story, Only Murders in the Building, and upcoming series Percy Jackson and The Olympians and Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.
Last year, she was the subject of a lawsuit from Jimmy Sharp, the stuntman son of the exec she replaced.
