2020 Oscar Nominations: Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé and More of the Biggest Snubs and Surprises

The NFL will release footage of the 2020 Super Bowl performances on game night. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s halftime show and Demi Lovato’s National Anthem will feature on Super Bowl LIV Live, as will a rendition of “America the Beautiful” by Yolanda Adams and the Children’s Voice Chorus. Each performance is expected to arrive on streaming services shortly after airing on TV on February 2.

Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce are among the notable names who missed out on expected Oscars nominations on Monday January 13.

This week fans went into a frenzy after it was announced that Jennifer Lopez did not get an Oscars nomination for her role in Hustlers. But turns out, there was another Academy Award-level role that could’ve gone to JLo. In Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue, the 50-year-old superstar shared she turned down a famous role that earned the actress an Oscars nomination in 2003.

The Oscar nominations are finally out and, as always, there are some strong feelings about who did or did not receive a nom from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Actors Issa Rae and John Cho were on hand to deliver the news this morning, and fans were furious that Jennifer Lopez wasn't recognized for her work in Hustlers.

The 2020 Oscars nominations are out, and after much buzz surrounding Jennifer Lopez’s role as Ramona in Hustlers, the finally verdict is here: JLo was not on the list of nominees. It’s no surprise fans of the star are not having it, and many are taking to social media to express their thoughts on the situation. While some are calling out the lack of diversity, others are simply upset the Waiting for Tonight singer wasn’t given a nod for her work in the biopic.
