Horror movies bring in some big bucks – especially when it comes to some of the most iconic horror movie franchises in the film history.
From slasher films to zombie attacks to giant creatures running amok around the city, as well as spoofs and light-hearted takes on stereotypical horror tropes, plus plenty of sequels, audiences have flocked to film theaters en masse to see the creepiest and scariest delights on the big screen, resulting in millions (and, in one case, billions) of dollars in revenue at the box office.
