Netflix is betting big on anime in 2021, but there’s arguably no title as highly anticipated as “Yasuke.” This project takes the true story of a legendary Black samurai of the same name, voiced by LaKeith Stanfield, and adds in a whole lot more magic than you’d expect. Ahead of its release at the end of the month, Netflix has finally released the first trailer for the anime.

Four days before its premiere, Netflix is giving fans the trailer for its highly anticipated anime series, .Inspired by the little-known tale of a legendary Black samurai,  follows a real-life man of African origin who served under the Japanese lord Oda Nobunaga in the 1500s.

Typically, we don’t feature many anime films on this site. Why? Well, speaking for myself, at least, I’m not someone that has dove deep into the genre outside of the massive crossover hit films and series.
