HBO is trying to get you interested and incentivized to watch the skate betties show “Betty,” How so? “Betty” season two doesn’t air until Friday, Jun 11 (11:00pm ET), but the cable subscriber has put the first episode of the upcoming season online for free and early on HBO’s YouTube channel (see below). They’ve also released the full-blown trailer, after the initial teaser, for season two and all the things in store for the girls of the show.
Based on creator Crystal Moselle’s 2018 Sundance hit “Skate Kitchen,” the spiritual spin-off series—which in a way restarted the film as a series with much of the same cast— will return to HBO for a second season this June. Still helmed and created by Moselle, “Betty” follows five young women on journeys of self-discovery against the backdrop of New York City’s male-dominated skateboarding scene.
