Kendrick Lamar has officially released his fifth studio album, ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’.It’s a lengthy affair, spanning 73 minutes of heady, jazz-tinged hip-hop with rapping that, in true Kendrick style, oscillates between soulful and explosive.

Thania Garcia Tim Glover has been promoted to the role of executive vice president of A&R at Interscope Records, it was announced today (April 20) by Interscope Geffen A&M. In his new position, Glover will continue to work with the label’s roster of artists and emerging talent which includes Tierra Whack, Earthgang and Bas, among others.Glover joined Interscope Records in 2014 and since then has worked across a roster of over 20 artists including Dreamville’s JID and Ari Lennox.

LAS VEGAS -- As John Legend was honored for his musical achievements Saturday — the night before the Grammy Awards — the singer used the Recording Academy stage to pay homage to a Black music culture that has shaped him and the wider world of music.Legend explained how Black music has set trends for listeners across the globe, speaking at the academy’s Black Music Collective event in Las Vegas, where he was given the Global Impact Award for his personal and professional achievements in the music industry.“I’m proud to celebrate and honor and cultivate our music,” Legend said at the event held the night before the Grammy Awards.“Black music is and has been the rhythm, the root, the inspiration, the innovation behind so much of the world’s popular music. Legend will be receiving the first-ever Recording Academy Global Impact Award for his personal and professional achievements in the music industry.Fast-rising R&B singer Summer Walker will perform and D-Nice will be spinning music throughout the night, with MC Lyte as the voice of the evening, Adam Blackstone as the musical director and legendary producer Jimmy Jam making remarks.

Last year Summer Walker and SZA teamed up on "No Love," a song from Walker's excellent album Still Over It. Today they have added a third to their partnership with Cardi B jumping on a new extended version of "No Love." A video for the updated song, featuring Cardi and Summer lounging on a four-poster bed in front of a heavenly backdrop, is streaming above.
