it’s the end of an era. Days of Our Lives star Greg Vaughan announced in a July 22 interview that he’s leaving the soap opera after playing Eric Brady on the show for eight years. LOS ANGELES (AP) — The first season of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” received Daytime Emmy Awards nominations for best entertainment talk show and host, while “Jeopardy!” veteran Alex Trebek’s nod for best game show host could give him a second consecutive win in the category.

ABC’s one remaining daytime soap opera is General Hospital, and over the years the venerable show has introduced some of the sexiest stars in soaps. Many of the hot male actors have stayed with the show, while others have gone on to bigger things on prime time TV.  Occasionally, they’ll even hop to different network soaps.
