Joe Otterson TV Reporter The megahit animated series “SpongeBob SquarePants” has been renewed for Season 15 at Nickelodeon. The new season will consist of 26 episodes and will bring the show to 345 total episodes since it originally launch in 1999. The show will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its debut in 2024.

Nickelodeon has renewed its flagship animated series SpongeBob SquarePants for a 26-episode fifteenth season. The announcement comes ahead of the series’ milestone 25th anniversary next year.

Netflix on Tuesday announced the new animated films In Your Dreams and Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie, coming to the platform in 2024, also setting new voice cast for the fantasy adventure Nimona and offering new first-look stills from each of its animated titles debuting over the next 18 months, which you can view above and below.

Nickelodeon viewers will see more of SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol and Blue’s Clues & You!, which have all been renewed for new seasons. The renewal news came during Nickelodeons’ Upfront presentation on Thursday.
