The first teaser for Spike Jonze and the Beastie Boys’ new documentary has been released. The film, which was directed by Jonze and co-written with Mike D and Ad-Rock, will debut on IMAX on April 3, followed by a global release on April 24 via Apple TV+. Beastie Boys’ Mike D and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, along with Spike Jonze, have announced a new documentary: Beastie Boys Story will debut on IMAX on April 3, followed by a global release on April 24 via Apple TV+. Jonze directed the movie and co-wrote it with Mike D and Ad-Rock. The project grew out of Jonze and the Beasties’ massive Beastie Boys Book, according to a press release.

The 27th edition of the SXSW Film Festival will feature a romantic caper starring Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani, a documentary about the Beastie Boys directed by Spike Jonze, a “hidden camera” comedy headlined by Tiffany Haddish and an autobiographical studio vehicle from Pete Davidson.

Apple TV Plus has nabbed rights to “Beastie Boys Story,” a documentary about the legendary rap trio produced by Spike Jonze.

The Beastie Boys are teaming up with longtime collaborator Spike Jonze for a new photo book to release on March 17 via Rizzoli.The book, titled Beastie Boys, is a collection of photos Jonze took of the Beasties throughout their career, including snaps from the music video shoot for “Sabotage," the cover shoot for their 1999 album The Sounds of Science, and more.This isn't the first time Jonze has shown his work with the band.

Beastie Boys have announced a new photo book with longtime collaborator Spike Jonze.
