Gucci fashion has made many appearances in Hollywood, both in movies and on the red carpet. The actual story of Gucci is worthy of a movie of its own, and it finally got one in House of Gucci.

For 15 years filmmaker Ridley Scott wrestled with finding the perfect feature adaptation of Sara Gay Forden’s novel about the murder of Maurizio Gucci by ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani.  At one point Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie were even circling the project. However, the 544-page book proved a challenge for several screenwriters.

An all-star cast including Lady Gaga, Jared Leto and Adam Driver star in the new crime drama House of Gucci but while the movie has received positive reviews, the Guccis themselves aren't too pleased. MGM on Thursday released a series of character posters from their upcoming title House Of Gucci directed by Ridley Scott. The film, based on the 2001 book The House Of Gucci: A Sensational Story Of Murder, Madness, Glamour, And Greed by Sara Gay Forden, is set to be released in the United States on November 24, 2021 by United Artists Releasing.
