(Watch the film’s exclusive trailer above.)Written and directed by Susanna Nicchiarelli (“Nico, 1988,” “Cosmonaut”), with Celluloid Dreams serving as international sales agent, the film has been picked up by DDDreams in China and B-Team in Spain.

If the decades of erotic thrillers have taught film fans anything, it’s that marital affairs never end well. There’s a film about how a woman or a man cheats on their spouse and everything just works out perfectly in the end.

Sound is always a crucial part of horror films. Not just when it comes to music, either.

Is there a more distressing vision to torment your COVID lockdown dreams than a blocked toilet? Well, yes, if the blockage is caused by the bloody, half-dead body of a hairless, razor-toothed bat with what looks unsettlingly like an umbilical cord attached.

Actress Romola Garai makes a distinctive feature directorial debut with “Amulet,” even if this upscale horror drama is ultimately more impressive in the realm of style than substance. It’s some style, though: She hasn’t just created a stylish potboiler, but a densely textured piece that makes for a truly arresting viewing experience to a point. A shame then that the film succumbs somewhat to the more pretentious and silly aspects of Garai’s initially cryptic puzzle of a script.
