Ice Spice sued for alleged copyright infringement

Ice Spice is being sued for alleged copyright infringement over her 2023 single ‘In Ha Mood’.According to Rolling Stone, two musicians have filed a lawsuit against the New York City rapper (real name Isis Naija Gaston), claiming that the song infringes on the copyright of their track ‘In That Mood’.The latter release is by Brooklyn rapper/songwriter Duval ‘D.Chamberz’ Chamberlain and Bronx sound engineer/producer Kenley ‘Kass The Producer’ Carmenate. In the complaint filed in the Eastern District of New York, the pair allege that Gaston Riot “copied” the name, hook, chorus, phrasing and tempo of ‘In That Mood’ without permission or proper credit. The lawsuit claimed that the two songs “are so strikingly similar that they cannot be purely coincidental”.It stated: “The similarities between ‘In Ha Mood’ and ‘In That Mood’ – including the key phrase used in the chorus and repeated in a substantially similar manner numerous times throughout both songs – are such that it is simply not reasonable to believe that ‘In Ha Mood’ could have been created without having heard ‘In That Mood’ first.”‘In That Mood’ was released as a single in early 2022. Chamberlain first used it in an Instagram post in August of the previous year.

I can’t stress it enough, as somebody with extreme body issues and dysmorphia that I’ve had my entire life.”Overcoming those body issues, Eilish has learned to love herself — au naturel — by masturbating in front of a mirror.“Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body, and have a love for my body that I have not really ever had,” she said.

Liam Neeson’s ‘Retribution’ is being called the “worst film of the year”

Liam Neeson’s new action thriller Retribution has been described as in the running for “worst film of the year” by critics.Directed by Nimród Antal (Predators), the film follows financier Matt Turner (Neeson) who is threatened by a mysterious bomber while driving his son and daughter to school. Other cast members include Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell and Jack Champion. It’s the third remake of the 2015 Spanish film The Stranger, following German and Korean adaptations in 2018 and 2021 respectively.Retribution, which was released in the US on August 25, received a negative review on Rolling Stone, who described it as a “formula beaten into submission”.“Retribution is not the worst of his thrillers/action movies – that honour belongs to either last year’s god-awful Blacklight or this freezer-burned turkey – but it does suggest that Neeson may want to consider retiring from the everyman action-hero beat for good,” the review reads.

Jimmy Fallon’s apology for toxic workplace allegations slammed: ‘Sounds like it was spoken by a toddler’

groveling apology to his “Tonight Show” staffers after reports surfaced of his toxic workplace behavior — but fans aren’t buying it.One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, pointed to a line the 48-year-old TV host allegedly said during the all-hands meeting: “It’s embarrassing and I feel so bad.”The commenter said the “apology sounds like it was spoken by a toddler.”“Why didn’t and couldn’t he apologize in person? I find the Zoom apology insulting,” another shared, while others chimed in that Fallon only said he was sorry “cause he got called out.”Fallon likely conducted his apology virtually, however, because of the ongoing Hollywood strike, which has shut down production for a slew of highly-anticipated movies and TV shows, including late-night talk shows.“Oh, f–k off. Fallon’s ‘apology’ is about how he was inconvenienced by the Rolling Stone article exposing him as a raging a–hole and nothing about apologizing to staff or saying how he will change,” another scathing comment said.Another user likened the saga to Ellen DeGeneres, who had her “Ellen Show” canceled in 2022 after a 19-year run following a flurry of toxic workplace allegations against the seemingly family-friendly talk show host.“The Jimmy Fallon saga is following EXACTLY the same footsteps that Ellen DeGeneres tread … accusations.
