Fans of the much-loved radio presenter Steve Wright – who died suddenly last Monday – have vented their fury after the BBC’s Breakfast News programme discussed an upcoming tribute to the DJ – while mistakenly showing a photo of a completely different radio personality.

BBC Breakfast viewers rushed to social media to comment after they were left convinced that Naga Munchetty let out a swear word live on air. The presenter was at the helm of the BBC One news programme on Friday (March 31) alongside Roger Johnson.

BBC Breakfast was suddenly forced off air on Saturday morning as an alarm begin to sound in the studio. Roger Johnson and Rachel Burden were in the midst of hosting the news programme from the BBC's Salford-based studio when they were interrupted by what sounded like a smoke alarm.

BBC Breakfast on Sunday morning and one of the big topics on the program was the TV BAFTAs. Roger then went on to make a prediction about the weather ahead of the awards show, but he had to apologise when meteorologist Darren Bett revealed he'd got it wrong.
