NBC has canceled the reboot of Quantum Leap after just two seasons.

Raymond Lee, the star of Quantum Leap, posted a farewell reaction on Instagram today upon news of the show’s cancellation.

EXCLUSIVE: NBC has decided not to proceed with a third season of its Quantum Leap reboot starring Raymond Lee. The news comes more than a month after the two-hour Season 2 finale aired Feb. 20.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Quantum Leap” has been canceled at NBC after two seasons, Variety has confirmed. The show served as a followup to the 1989 show of the same name starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell.

We have a return date for NBC drama series Quantum Leap. Season 2B will premiere Tuesday, January 30 at 10 pm, moving from its previous Wednesday slot. It takes over the spot left by Found which wraps its first season on January 16.

Quantum Leap‘s cast is getting bigger for season 2!

Peter Gadiot (Queen of the South) and Eliza Taylor (The 100) are set as series regulars for the upcoming second season of Quantum Leap, NBC’s reboot of the popular 1990s sci-fi drama starring Raymond Lee. Both deals closed before the strikes began.

Scott Bakula starred in all five seasons of the original Quantum Leap series, but he has “no involvement” in the upcoming reboot that premieres on NBC next week.
