"Mulan" will go straight to Disney Plus, which has over 60.5 million paying subscribers, reports variety.com.After several delays to its theatrical release date, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said that "Mulan" will premiere on the service on a "premiere access" basis in the US and other select markets at a premium price of $29.99 (Rs 2,244.67), beginning September 4.The film will be released theatrically in markets where the streaming platform is not available.New Zealand filmmaker Niki Caro's "Mulan"

Amblin Partners has signed New Zealand filmmaker Niki Caro, director of Disney's upcoming live-action Mulan, to direct Beautiful Ruins, the movie adaptation of Jess Walter's romance novel. In February, Amblin announced they were reteaming with Neal Street Productions to make the film after their collaboration on 1917, which won three Oscars and to date has earned $375 million at the worldwide box office.

As the world waits for Niki Caro’s big-budget, live-action remake of “Mulan,” it appears the filmmaker is already bracing herself for her next project, the upcoming film “Beautiful Ruins.” According to Variety, Caro has signed on to direct the new romantic drama which finds the filmmaker teaming up with Amblin Partners.

Yifei Liu was the embodiment of a real-life Disney princess at the Mulan premiere on Monday night.
