The 18th series of Strictly Come Dancing is well underway and this year we've seen four new professional dancers join the popular BBC One show. Over the years, viewers have watched 64 professional dancers take to the Strictly dance floor and there's now only Anton Du Beke left from the first series, but he is part of the judging panel rather than the competition. There's been married couples take part in the show, such as James and Ola Jordan and Lilia Kopylova and Darren Bennett, as well as some who even fell for their celebrity partners during their time on Strictly.

Already well-known for her cheeky sense of humour, Queen Camilla had a good giggle when she was presented with a Barbie doll that looked just like her! The Queen was hosting a Women of the World event at Buckingham Palace when she was presented with the toy which had been designed in her likeness. Just like the Queen, the doll was dressed in a Royal blue Fiona Clare dress, a black Amanda Wakeley coat, Eliot Zed shoes and even had a Launer handbag and Van Cleef and Arpels bracelet.

Brendan Cole is the professional dancer known for his stint on Strictly Come Dancing, having been one of the most familiar faces on the show from 2004 to 2018. But his time on Strictly came to an end when he was shockingly let go after his contract was not renewed, leaving fans stunned. Like Anton Du Beke, Brendan had been a part of the show since it started in 2004 and was the first to be associated with the infamous 'Strictly Curse'.

BBC stars gathered to remember the beloved journalist George Alagiah at his memorial service.The respected newsreader, who sadly passed away aged 67 after a long battle with bowel cancer, was honoured by many of his colleagues. George, who was the face of BBC One's News At Six since 2007, was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in April 2014. His death was announced in a touching statement from his agent Mary Greenham.The memorial service took place at St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in Trafalgar Square, London.

Naman Ramachandran Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service has signed an agreement with the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) to produce age ratings for content. The agreement will enable Prime Video to build on their existing trust and safety tools, in order to move towards the in-house production of BBFC age ratings that are in line with the BBFC’s classification guidelines. The BBFC will support Prime Video as they adapt their rating methodologies in the U.K. to fully reflect the BBFC’s classification standards. This will extend the presence of the BBFC’s trusted guidance on the streaming service in the U.K,, the BBFC said. As part of the agreement, the BBFC will share additional expertise and insight into the standards they apply when classifying film, video and TV content.

The TV presenter, 44, has been married to childhood sweetheart Harriet since 2007 and together they share a daughter named Florence, nine, and a son named Sebastian, seven. She will replace long-time leader Patrick Swaffer, who steps down after 10 years. Formed in 1912, the BBFC is an independent, non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that is tasked with classifying films, video tapes, discs and online content. Kaplinsky — a former studio anchor for the BBC, Sky, ITV and Channel 5 — will take up the new position in October. As president, she will join the board and chair the Board of Classification, which is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to classification. The board meets on a monthly basis.
