Coronation Street's leading ladies have had a mini reunion 24 years after their former co-star left the popular ITV show. Denise Welch, who played Natalie Barnes from 1997 to 2000, was excited to catch up with fellow Corrie stars Sally Dynevor, Jane Danson, Samia Longchambon and Angela Lonsdale, the latter having portrayed police officer Emma Watts.

Loose Women's Denise Welch is set to play Queen Elizabeth II in an upcoming Princess Diana musical, named Diana the Musical. The 65 year old is no stranger to acting, having starred in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Waterloo road during her lengthy career. The concert version of Diana the Musical will see an older Diana both narrating and reflecting back on her life and that of her 19-year old self, played in two parts, by Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Anything Goes) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (original cast member of Six).

Perry and Angela's marriage was short-lived and they decided to go their separate ways just five years after tying the knot. At the time, a friend close to the couple told the Mirror: “They just ran out of love. They had a series of heart-to-hearts and decided to call it a day.
