EXCLUSIVE: Fox has assembled the cast for its new medical drama series Doc around the previously cast lead Molly Parker. Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker and Anya Banerjee are set as series regulars, and Scott Wolf and Patrick Walker will recur in the show from writer, executive producer and showrunner Barbie Kligman, executive producers Hank Steinberg and 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff, Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment Studios. Production on Doc has started in Toronto, Canada.

Even in the glut of Netflix content, some projects prove too troublesome for the streamer to release. Variety reports that after myriad post-production delays, Netflix won’t complete or release “The Mothership,” a sci-fi movie starring Halle Berry.

The movie finished filming in 2021, but it couldn’t be completed after multiple delays in post-production, Variety has confirmed. “The Mothership” is the latest Hollywood movie to disappear even though filming had wrapped.

Fox has unveiled the first on-air promo for its upcoming anthology drama Accused, based on the International Emmy-winning British series. The project comesfrom 24 executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and House creator/executive producer David Shore.

Writer, director and producer Clint Bentley joined the stars of Jockey — Clifton Collins Jr. and Molly Parker — onstage at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Los Angeles award-season event Sunday to discuss the Sony Pictures Classics horse racing drama.

Jockey, which won the Sundance Film Festival U.S. Dramatic Special Jury award for star Clifton Collins Jr.’s acting, will hit New York and LA theaters on Dec. 29.
