AMC just lost one half of its “The Walking Dead” spin-off.

Melissa McBride, who has starred as Carol in The Walking Dead since the series launch, will not be part of a planned untitled spinoff slated for 2023. The so-called Carol-Daryl spinoff was to be focused on her and Norman Reedus’ TWD characters.

A huge bummer for fans of The Walking Dead: Melissa McBride has exited the planned spinoff show about her character, Carol, and Norman Reedus‘ character, Daryl.

As AMC’s The Walking Dead flagship wrapped its final day of shooting yesterday after 11 seasons, EP Greg Nicotero and star Norman Reedus took to Instagram to reflect on their journey together.

The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus has suffered a head injury on the set of the popular zombie drama. The actor, best known for portraying crossbow-wielding antihero Daryl Dixon on the AMC show, was reported to have suffered a concussion on March 11. It's not clear whether the incident happened during filming or not.
