The Guild of Music Supervisors held their 11th annual awards virtually today, celebrating outstanding achievement in the craft of music supervision in film, television, documentary, games, advertising and trailers.

Previous recipients include Quincy Jones, Burt Bacharach, Kenny Loggins and Marc Shaiman.Mitchell Leib is the recipient of the annual Legacy Award, bestowed to music supervisors who have made a major impact. Leib is a former longtime president of music and soundtracks for Disney’s live action motion picture division.

On Sunday, April 11, Maureen Crowe, the founding member and president of the Guild of Music Supervisors, will receive the organization’s Legacy Award at its 11th annual awards ceremony, which will be staged virtually. Crowe, whose credits include The Bodyguard, Wayne’s World, Chicago and Newsies, was instrumental in getting the Television Academy to introduce an award for music supervisors and has been lobbying the Motion Picture Academy to follow suit.
