EXCLUSIVE: The Shield exec producer Scott Rosenbaum is developing an adaptation of Italian drama series Sandokan with Devils producer Lux Vide.

Lux Vide is teaming with ex-Hasbro chief content officer Stephen J. Davis (“Transformers”) to produce what may be its most ambitious production yet: “The Rising.” The English-language historical drama series focuses on what it described as the “human, secular story” of Jesus Christ.

Amazon has taken the UK and Ireland rights to Aidan Turner series, Leonardo, following a deal with Sony Pictures Television. The series on Italian master Leonardo da Vinci will premiere on April 16.

Italy’s Lux Vide, the production company behind “Medici” and financial thriller “Devils,” is in talks for a U.S. adaptation of their local medical drama “Doc” after its recent bow to record ratings on pubcaster Rai. The show is also set to be showcased by The Wit’s Virginia Mouselier during MipTV Online Plus.

Sky Italia has launched the first trailer for its highly anticipated thriller “Devils,” set to premiere in April on Sky. Produced by Lux Vide and Orange Studio with funding from Sky Studios, the series is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Global Distribution.
