It’s not a shock when we see Wes Anderson pull together a massively talented cast of A-listers for a film project. For decades, that’s been his modus operandi.

Liev Schreiber, 53, and Naomi Watts, 52, looked relaxed during their latest outing with their kids this week. The ex-lovebirds were photographed walking in New York City with their sons Sasha, 13, and Kai, 12, and they all looked stylish in fashionably comfortable outfits. At one point, they stopped to converse with each other as the actress carried a manila envelope and the actor appeared to look in his wallet.

Typically, when a show does solid ratings, gets awards consideration, and runs for seven years, a network will give the creator and producers a chance to finish their story before outright canceling it. Unfortunately, that was not the courtesy given to the makers of “Ray Donovan,” as the long-running Showtime series was abruptly canceled after its 7th season, which actually left on a bit of a cliffhanger and zero resolution.

Liev Schreiber will reprise his role as the titular hero and will co-write the script with showrunner David Hollander, who will also direct the film. Jon Voight will also return as Mickey Donovan, as well as Kerris Dorsey as Bridget, Ray's daughter.The movie, which could kick off a potential franchise, will continue Ray's journey following the series' seven-season run on Showtime, with «Mickey in the wind and Ray determined to find and stop him before he can cause any more carnage,» according to

Danny Huston has joined the cast of Across the River and Into the Trees, the feature adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's final novel and New York Times bestseller, heading to Berlin's virtual European Film Market with The Exchange. Now in production in Venice, Italy, Huston joins six-time Golden Globe nominee Liev Schreiber, Josh Hutcherson and Italian actresses Matilda De Angelis (The Undoing) and Laura Morante (Cherry on the Cake, The Ball).

Like the Hollywood version of Punxsutawney Phil, actor Liev Schreiber has poked out his head and predicted the possible return of his canceled Showtime drama Ray Donovan.

"Ray Donovan" fans have been up in arms since Showtime a week ago canceled the drama series, denying them a proper ending since the recent season seven finale finished with a cliffhanger. Series showrunner David Hollander further fanned the flames by saying that he and the show’s creative team had been blindsided by the network’s cancellation decision.
