The beloved home of the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Clarence House is one of the smaller regal residences and something of a hidden gem. Nestled in the heart of London on The Mall, it is an oasis of calm amid the busy streets of Westminster, with secluded gardens in the shadow of neighbouring St James’s Palace.The house, built in 1825-27, was designed by architect John Nash for Prince William Henry, the Duke of Clarence – later King William IV.

King Charles has begun treatment after his recent cancer diagnosis. In a statement issued last week, Buckingham Palace announced the King was diagnosed with a form of cancer after the disease was found during his recent operation for an enlarged prostate. He is undergoing "appropriate treatment from a specialist team," with the monarch choosing to recuperate in the privacy of his own home as an outpatient.

What Goldsman hasn’t discussed until now is how much of the narrative was informed by his own memories of being molested as a child by a family friend, through his formative childhood and teenage years. There is truth among fiction that has sparked strong reactions from fellow trauma sufferers. Buckle up.   

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have spent the night before their historic Coronation with an intimate dinner at their much-loved Clarence House. The royal couple chose to stay at their favoured London base - rather than monarchy HQ Buckingham Palace - as they prepared for the momentous occasion on Saturday.

The Oscar winning actor will also deploy his musical talent with his band Indoor Garden Party, which will perform at the festival’s opening night concert. The festival also revealed Friday that Johnny Depp would appear in its trailer, which will have its premiere at the opening ceremony. Crowe, who was born in New Zealand but moved to Australia at an early age, began his acting career at the age of 6, working in TV and theater. In 1989, he started working in Australian films, with “The Crossing” (1990, dir. George Ogilvie), “Proof” (1991, dir. Jocelyn Moorhouse), and “Romper Stomper” (1992, dir. Geoffrey Wright). He won two Australian Academy Awards: supporting actor for “Proof” and best actor for “Romper Stomper.”

Russell Crowe is set to receive the coveted Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema at this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. To celebrate his achievements, the festival will be presenting a 20-year anniversary screening of Peter Weir’s Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, which earned Crowe a Golden Globe nomination.

One important note to Academy members: Fill out your ballots in full. Every Academy member votes for best picture, outside of their respective branch association. For best picture, the member is invited to list up to five films in preferential order. In the days of paper ballots, there were horror stories of voters writing the same film five times on their entries, but those days are gone with electronic voting. However, listing five films is crucially important based on the Academy tabulation methods, which involves a lot of math. As we remain in the final year of the “sliding scale,” where the results can produce any number of nominees between five and 10, simply put, all lines matter.

King Charles' staff have been issued their redundancy papers during a church service held for the Queen. Workers at Clarence House were reportedly "livid and shaken" after finding out that they could be left unemployed.

King Charles III will use Clarence House as his home for the time being, with major building work at Buckingham Palace yet to be completed, it has been confirmed. Buckingham Palace is regarded as Monarchy HQ and Charles III has already held a series of audiences with Prime Minister Liz Truss, cabinet ministers and Realm High Commissioners at the famous London landmark. The £369 million reservicing programme at the historic building is spanning 10 years, and includes updating the electrical cabling, plumbing and heating.

King Charles made his first official speech as monarch as he addressed the nation on Friday 9 September a day after his mother's death. During the speech, made from Buckingham Palace’s Blue Drawing Room, there were many nods from the King to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.The King spoke from the antique polished desk in the grand state room where the Queen would sometimes film her Christmas broadcasts.To the King’s left was a framed photograph of his late mother the Queen, smiling broadly and wearing a vivid blue coat and matching hat decorated with a red flower.

My father was first a managing director, and then went into the banking industry. My mother was a housewife, although when my siblings and I were young she employed a cleaner and a nanny, and then we went to boarding school.
