Bradley Cooper has undergone a complete transformation in his latest Netflix film judging by the unrecognisable first images released from the project. The 47 year old is playing legendary composer Leonard Bernstein in the title named Maestro, which he is also directing, and stars alongside Carey Mulligan, who plays wife Felicia Montealegre, and Succession’s Jeremy Strong who features as critic John Gruen. Netflix shared the first few stills from the film on Monday, leaving fans shocked as they barely caught sight of Bradley underneath the heavy age-old make-up applied to him.The Hollywood actor is seen in character as Bernstein in his older years with white grey hair and glasses and is wearing a slightly unbuttoned white shirt revealing wrinkled skin at his neck, showing the extensiveness of the faux ageing process.

Montserrat Caballe, one of the greats of 20th-century opera, is being remembered on what would have been her 89th birthday. Nicknamed “La Superba”, the Catalan singer began her career in Switzerland, Germany and Austria before becoming a superstar on the world stage. She made her American debut in Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia at Carnegie Hall in New York City on 20 April 1965, replacing the pregnant Marilyn Horne and earning a 25-minute standing ovation.
