Let’s take a trip back to December 2019, nearly a year-and-a-half ago. That’s when the world was shown the first full trailer for Joe Wright’s thriller, “The Woman in the Window.” At that time, the film was expected to arrive in early 2020 and would be distributed by Fox 2000 (which was soon to be shuttered by Disney after the Fox acquisition).

Over the past several years, stories about how some of the behind-the-scenes moguls in Hollywood abused their power have made headlines. Obviously, everyone knows the disgusting crimes committed by Harvey Weinstein, as an example.

In 2018, Gary Oldman nabbed his first Golden Globe award for his performance and transformation as Winston Churchill in Joe Wright’s Darkest Hour. Three years later and Oldman’s in the Golden Globes’ best actor in a drama race for his unveiled performance as Citizen Kane co-scribe Herman J. Mankiewicz in David Fincher’s Mank.

A lot of the discussion surrounding Christopher Nolan last year was how he wanted to release “Tenet” in theaters to help provide a spark for the industry to hopefully bring people back to cinemas and help resuscitate an industry that has been hit incredibly hard since the pandemic began.
