The shows will take place at the Bowl May 24-25 and be produced by Disney Concerts, Fulwell 73 Productions, AMP Worldwide and Live Nation-Hewitt Silva.

He remembers how it cast a spell on him and how he knew right there and then that he wanted to take part in the Disney magic. With the help of his English teacher, he wrote to the Mouse House and to his surprise received a reply. Village Roadshow Pictures is producing the project and will introduce the film to buyers at next week’s Cannes Film Festival. “Eternal Return” follows Cass (Scott), a young woman who has resigned herself to a life of emotional invulnerability until she meets Virgil (Harington), a cartographer who makes maps to imaginary places. Along with his partner Malcolm (Irons), a vibrant renaissance man, the pair relentlessly attempts to travel back in time awaken Cass to love again. The original feature is written and directed by Yaniv Raz (“Dr. Bird’s Advice for Sad Poets”).

Interpreting known characters across race and gender lines is promising in theory, but all too often executed without much intention — a hasty, lazy substitute for a fresh take on the source material. “Dead Ringers,” the new limited series from Amazon Prime Video, is not such a case. Directed by Jascha Hannover, the film explores how Hitler’s personal library provides a look into his mind and how it significantly informed his worldview. While Hitler is better known for burning books than collecting them, the books he voraciously read provided the horrific rationale that led to the violence and harm he orchestrated toward Jewish people in 1930s and 1940s Europe. Contributors include Timothy W. Ryback, a historian and director of the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation in The Hague, Delphine Horvilleur, France’s third female rabbi and many others.

Dungeons & Dragons, a film so heinously bad that its place at 39th on Empire magazine’s list of the Worst Films of All Time seems incredibly generous.But Hollywood loves a do-over, and we have the time, so we’re glad to see franchise reboot Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves leading off this busy movie season of sequels and second chances, including another turn at bringing Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. to the screen since the 1993 live-action adaptation that landed on its share of worst lists.The new, computer-animated The Super Mario Bros.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter As it rolls the dice at the weekend box office, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” is aiming to emerge victorious over last weekend’s champion “John Wick: Chapter 4.” A natural 20 isn’t guaranteed, but Paramount and eOne’s adaptation of the popular role-playing game is hoping to collect $30 million to $40 million from 3,850 North American locations. It’ll be a close race for first place between that and the fourth “John Wick,” which topped the box office with $73.5 million and looks to add about $36 million in its sophomore outing. Internationally, “Dungeons & Dragons” is opening in 58 markets, where it’s aiming for $25 million or more.

Paramount and Hasbro eOne with the greatest of intentions have created an extremely fun, broad-audience appealing feature take on the classic roleplaying game, entitled Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which already is 90% certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes –not an easy feat with a genre movie of this caliber– and 94% with moviegoers.
