Selome Hailu The animated series based on Studio WildCard’s “Ark: Survival Evolved” video game finally has a platform attached. The first six episodes of Season 1 surprise dropped on Paramount+ on Thursday, with the remaining seven episodes set for a later date. Spanning eons of human history, “Ark: The Animated Series” follows 21st century paleontologist Helena Walker (voiced by Madeleine Madden), who finds herself resurrected on a mysterious primeval island populated by prehistoric beasts.
Surprise! The first six episodes of Ark: The Animated Series, based on the hit adventure video game Ark: Survival Evolved, are available to stream now exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada. The series will debut in all other Paramount+ international markets starting April 19. The seven-episode Part 2 of the season will be released at a later date. Watch the promo below.

Fans were disappointed when plans for Ben Affleck to star and direct in a solo Batman movie — first announced back in 2015 — were quashed a few years later when the studio re-envisioned the project with a younger actor, ultimately resulting in Robert Pattinson playing the character in “The Batman”.
The scrapped standalone Batman movie that Ben Affleck was set, a little less than a decade ago, to direct and star in had all the potential in the world to be an exciting addition to the DC canon, per Jay Oliva, a veteran storyboard artist who consulted with Affleck and others on the project.
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Jay Oliva, a storyboard artist who worked on several DC and Warner Bros. movies such as “Man of Steel,” “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Wonder Woman,” recently opened up to Inverse about Ben Affleck’s scrapped standalone Batman movie. Affleck debuted as Batman in Zack Snyder’s “Dawn of Justice” and reprised the role in “Justice League.” He was developing his own Batman movie to direct and star in before deciding to exit the role.
There’s only two films left before the DCEU wraps: “Blue Beetle” on August 18, and “Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom” on December 20. After that, James Gunn & Peter Safran start from scratch with their DCU, with Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy” kicking things off in 2025.
