Roku, less than three days before Super Bowl LIV is set to air on Fox, has removed all Fox Corp. channels from the Roku Channel Store — a move the broadcaster called a “poorly timed negotiating ploy.”
Fox declared in November that it had sold all the advertising time available in its looming February 2 broadcast of Super Bowl LIV. But just this week, it found a little more.
In Super Bowl LII, ad mascot Mr. Peanut scored a few points with a clever ad that featured baseball slugger Alex Rodriguez as well as actor Charlie Sheen. One year later, the anthropomorphic legume intends to gain new ground with another Super Bowl commercial that stars comic actor Matt Walsh.
