Netflix has announced soap legend Danny Dyer will be joining them as the host of a brand new quiz show, following his exit from EastEnders.The 44 year old actor confirmed he would be leaving Albert Square earlier this year, after joining the soap back in 2013. Mick Carter, who Danny has played for nine years, has become a firm fan favourite and soap icon as landlord Mick Carter, but has decided to bid farewell to the character for new ventures.

Clive Myrie invites another lineup of famous faces to show off their quizzing skills as Celebrity Mastermind continues on BBC. Tonight's episode (February 19) sees comedian Nish Kumar, actor John Altman and TV wine expert Olly Smith tackle questions on their specialist subjects, which range from The Isle of White to Jimi Hendrix.

FX has rounded out the cast of the Peter Tolan comedy pilot Belated. Joining lead Kal Penn are Ellie Taylor, Kaden Kearney, Amir Bageria and EaeMya ThynGi.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterFX has added four new cast members to Peter Tolan’s upcoming comedy pilot “Belated.”Alongside previously announced series lead Kal Penn, the pilot will also star Ellie Taylor, Kaden Kearney, Amir Bageria (“Degrassi: The Next Class” “Grand Army”), and EaeMya ThynGi (“Motherland: Fort Salem,” “Bad Seed 2”).The half-hour series follows an unexpected intergenerational friendship between Sachin (Penn), a recently out man in his 40s, and Clay (Kearney), a 17-year-old trans teen, as Sachin and his ex-wife (Taylor) and children (Bageria and ThynGi) attempt to find their new normal.Tolan will write, direct, and executive produce the “Belated” pilot. Nick Alford of Cloudland will also executive produce. FX Productions is the studio. Variety exclusively reported the pilot had been set up at the basic cabler back in October 2021.

Jackie Weaver will be competing on Celebrity Mastermind – and her specialist subject is a Vin Diesel film franchise. BBC has released a line-up of 56 stars who will compete on the celebrity version of the long-running quiz show. Weaver’s name was announced along with James Acaster, Tracey Beaker’s Dani Harmer, and Drag Race UK winner, The Vivienne.

Former England goalkeeper David will be answering questions about his specialist subject, late US pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, from new host Clive Myrie in the opening episode of the series on Saturday 5th February on BBC One. "It'll be fun for viewers, though maybe less for our celebs, but win or lose, they'll be helping their favourite charities.
