Jennifer Lopez becomes a deadly assassin in Netflix film The Mother.Directed by Niki Caro (Mulan), the action thriller stars Lopez as the titular mother assassin who comes out of hiding to protect her estranged daughter.A synopsis reads: “A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter that she gave up years before, while on the run from dangerous men.”The film’s cast includes Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, Gael Garcia Bernal, Paul Raci, Lucy Paez, Jesse Garcia and Edie Falco.The film will be available to stream from Friday May 12 at 8pm BST in the UK. , creators Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan' newest true-crime anthology series, will shift its focus from Jeffrey Dahmer to the Menendez brothers in season 2. Dubbed, the new season centers on the two siblings who were found guilty of murdering their parents, José and Mary Louise. While the crimes took place in 1989, it wasn't until 1996, after two trials, that Lyle and Erik were convicted on two counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder before being sentenced to life in prison without parole. At the time, their story became a media sensation. And in the decades since, it has been revisited in Lifetime's 2017 film,, starring Nico Tortorella, as well as the star-studded NBC series,, led by Edie Falco. According to Netflix, the streaming platform also «has exclusive access to Lyle and Erik Menendez for a forthcoming documentary feature,» while Peacock's docuseries,, looks at how the family was connected to the former boy band. The announcement, meanwhile, comes seven months after the series was renewed in November 2022 and expanded into a true-crime anthology focused on «monstrous figures who have impacted society.» Season 1, which was titled, chronicled the life and crimes of the gruesome serial killer who took the lives of 17 innocent victims.

Judah Miller serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer. Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, Erin David also executive produced alongside co-writer Dave Sirus.

Pete Davidson was involved in a car accident in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday (March 4), according to reports.The comedian is said to have been driving at a high speed through the Flats neighbourhood of Beverly Hills, when he lost control of the vehicle, collided with a fire hydrant, and subsequently hit the side of a house.According to TMZ, Davidson was accompanied by his girlfriend, actor Chase Sui Wonders, in the car. No one was injured, the outlet reports.Beverly Hills police confirmed (via People) that officers responded to a report of a car colliding with a fire hydrant on Saturday at around 11pm, where an accident report was taken for city property damage.Neither Davidson or Sui Wonders have commented on the incident.The pair, who have been reportedly dating since December last year, starred together in 2022 comedy horror film Bodies Bodies Bodies.Sui Wonders is also set to star in TV series Bupkis, written by and starring Davidson.

Their roles have not been disclosed.
