Deanna Daughtry, the wife of American Idol contestant and rock star Chris Daughtry, is speaking out after the sudden death of their daughter Hannah.

according to People.“Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been cancelled or postponed,” a statement from the family read. “The Daughtry family thanks you for our understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time.

Chris Daughtry's run on The Masked Singer might be over, but he's not done celebrating his runner-up status on the Fox reality karaoke show that wrapped up on Wednesday night (Dec. 18). The singer was so taken by his cover of Sia's "Alive" from inside the Rottweiler costume that he released a lyric video for the track after the show's two-hour finale.
