Ryan Murphy loves a TV anthology franchise. He’s already got ”American Story,” “Feud,” “American Horror Story,” “Monster,” and probably a few more we’re forgetting.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny have joined “Monster” Season 2 at Netflix, Variety has learned. The two A-listers join previously announced stars Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez in the upcoming season of the anthology series, which will focus on the Menéndez brothers. The season is officially titled “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story” and is slated to debut later in 2024.

Apple TV+ already has a couple of intriguing historical dramas on their upcoming series list for 2024: “Masters Of The Air” on January 26 and “The New List” on February 14. But another one arrives in March: “Manhunt,” which follows the hunt for John Wilkes Booth in the aftermath of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, Apple releasing first-look images for the series today.

Ray Price, the respected indie movie producer who championed the likes of Tran Anh Hung, Gurinder Chadha and Carl Franklin, has died aged 75. Price’s death after a long battle with cancer was confirmed by his long-term partner, Meg Madison.

During his career in film, Price was president of Francis Ford Coppola’s production company American Zoetrope and First Look Pictures and a marketing and distribution exec for Landmark Theatres, Trimark Pictures and 2929 Entertainment. He also supported up-and-coming filmmakers like Tran Anh Hung (“The Scent of Green Papaya”), Gurinder Chadha (“Bhaji on The Beach”), Carl Franklin (“One False Move”), Allison Anders (“Gas Food Lodging”) and John Sayles (“The Secret of Roan Inish”).

J. Kim Murphy Actor Tom Sizemore has been hospitalized after suffering a bran aneurysm. He is currently in critical condition. Sizemore’s representation confirmed the actor’s health status. His family has been made aware of the circumstances. Things are currently a “wait and see situation,” per Sizemore’s representation. According to reports, Sizemore was discovered at his Los Angeles home around 2 a.m. and was promptly transferred to a local hospital. The 61-year-old Sizemore came into his own as a Hollywood actor in the 1990s, building a career out through a variety of tough guy roles in action and drama films. He is likely best known for his performance as Technical Sergeant Mike Horvath in Steven Spielberg’s 1998 war film “Saving Private Ryan,” which was nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards.

Netflix has greenlit Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story limited series from Murphy and Ian Brennan, according to Deadline.  Richard Jenkins (Six Feet Under) will co-star with Carl Franklin (Mindhunter) and Janet Mock (Pose) writing and directing the series.
