After numerous delays and tons of fan speculation, it appears that Lucasfilm is ready to begin production on the long-awaited “Star Wars” live-action series, “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” And with production scheduled to begin in April, the studio is ready to pull back the curtain and unveil the ensemble cast that will help bring the prequel series to life.

LOS ANGELES — Chinese-American director Lulu Wang’s movie “The Farewell” won the top prize at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday, while Adam Sandler was named best actor and made fun of his exclusion from Sunday’s Oscars.
The Farewell took the top prize at the 35th Film Independent Spirit Awards, while crime drama Uncut Gems was also recognised.
