Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has announced that he will be sitting out of the band’s European tour.Clown took to social media to announce the news ahead of the band’s European tour kickoff in Austria today (June 7). Per his statement, Clown will not be participating in the tour to take care of his ailing wife “through some health issues”.“I would like to take a moment to tell everyone that I’m back home supporting my wife through some health issues, and I’ll be back on the road as soon as I can,” he wrote.

David Furnish shares Elton John health update ahead of upcoming surgery

Sir Elton John, has shared an update on his spouse’s health ahead of his upcoming surgery.Furnish spoke about Sir Elton’s current health during a new interview with The Sun, and revealed that he has hopes that the surgery will leave the rock icon feeling like “a new man”.The singer, songwriter and pianist is set to undergo a knee operation in the next few weeks and, according to his partner, he is doing well in the run-up to the surgery.“He’s doing amazing,” he told the outlet at his and Sir Elton’s annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party (via Music News).“He’s having another knee done in a couple of weeks and by the time the summer rolls around, he’ll have two brand new spanking knees.”Furnish also joked that his 76-year-old partner may be up for hitting the dancefloor again after the surgery, despite wrapping up his final tour last year. “I think you’ll see him breakdancing down the carpet next year,” he said.The rock veteran completed his final ever tour – titled ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ – last year, which included an already iconic slot at Glastonbury in the summer.The performance at Worthy Farm was given a glowing five-star review by NME’s Andrew Trendell, who described it as “one of the festival’s best-ever headline sets”.“The crowd present are all ages, with the youngest singing even louder for one simple reason: Elton’s music is timeless and travels.

Netflix is reportedly looking to beef up its cast for the second of its hit series, Beef.According to a report from Deadline Hollywood, series creator Lee Sung Jin hopes to rope in several big names to play feuding couples for the second season of Beef.Per Deadline Hollywood, Lee is currently eyeing A-listers Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway – who starred together in the 2010 rom-com Love & Other Drugs and in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain – as one couple.Also being eyed to star as the second couple are Priscilla standout Cailee Spaeny and May December and Riverdale star Charles Melton. NME will return for a third year to support the Featured Artists Coalition’s annual AGM, with a panel of artists looking back on 2023 and what challenges and opportunities lie in the year ahead.The FAC’s 2023 End of Year Party and AGM, in association with PPL, will take place at Signature Brew in Walthamstow on Wednesday, November 29. Green Day preview new music in latest “1972” clip

Green Day have previewed a snippet of new music in their latest “1972” teaser clip – check it out below.Last month, the band shared a short clip of them recording music at London’s RAK Studios, set to what could be a new song.
