EXCLUSIVE: The Time 100 Women of the Year initiative is getting a scripted anthology series treatment. Amazon Studios is developing Women Of the Year, a TV adaptation of the Time 100 Women of the Year project and special issue, conceived by filmmaker Alma Har’el, which launched for International Women’s Day 2020 to recognize the contributions of female leaders, innovators, activists, entertainers, athletes and artists who defined the century from 1920 through 2019.

Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization Australians in Film on Tuesday unveiled a talent development program for undiscovered and underrepresented filmmakers. Dubbed Untapped, the nine-month online program will feature masterclasses from top filmmakers such as Honey Boy director Alma Har'el,Thor: Ragnarok helmer Taika Waititi,Late Night director Nisha Ganatra and Search Party co-creators Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers.

'Honey Boy' director Alma Har'el has lent her support to FKA twigs after she filed a lawsuit against Shia LaBeouf. The 32-year-old singer is suing the ‘Transformers’ actor for sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress during the course of their brief relationship in 2019, claiming she was subjected to "relentless" abuse from him, and now the filmmaker - who worked with them both on the 2019 drama - has praised the star for her "courage and resilience" in speaking out.
