Jack Dunn Netflix has unveiled the premiere date for the animated series “Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft,” based on the iconic action-adventure video game franchise. The show hits the streamer Oct. 10 with Hayley Atwell taking on the titular role of the intrepid British archaeologist.

Netflix has slotted October 10 for the premiere of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, its anime series with Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) voicing the title role. The streamer also released a new teaser trailer for the series from Legendary Television, which you can watch above.

Starz has axed three existing drama series and one upcoming project.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Starz is canceling four of its series, Variety has learned exclusively. Specifically, “Heels,” “Run the World,” and “Blindspotting” will not get new seasons at the cable network, while “The Venery of Samantha Bird” Season 1 is being scrapped without airing. “Heels,” “Run the World,” and “Blindspotting” all recently aired their second season at Starz, while “The Venery of Samantha Bird” was in production on its first season.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Starz has released the first full trailer for “Heels” Season 2. The new season of the pro wrestling drama will drop on July 28 at midnight on the Starz App before its linear debut on Starz at 10 p.m.ET/PT that same day. In the trailer, Jack Spade (Stephen Amell) is dealing with the fallout from the events of the Season 1 finale, including a complete breakdown of his relationship with his brother Ace (Alexander Ludwig) as well as with his wife Staci (Alison Luff). Meanwhile, Crystal (Kelli Berglund) is itching to defend the DWL championship in the ring, while Charlie Gully (Mike O’Malley) is out for revenge against Jack and the DWL.

1804 Films announced today its release of film, Phels High. The film is written by Kevin J. Nelson and serves as his directorial debut.

Yossman Comedian and social media star Tamera “Tee” Kissen has been cast opposite Jack Harlow in the remake of 1992 Wesley Snipes/Woody Harrelson comedy “White Men Can’t Jump,” Variety can exclusively reveal.The remake has been in the works since 2017 when it first emerged “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris and Doug Hall were working on a script rebooting the film.Earlier this year it was revealed Jack Harlow had been cast, marking the rapper’s feature film debut, playing the role Harrelson originated.

Allen Maldonado (Sneakerheads, The Last OG) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider video game franchise alum Earl Baylon have joined the voice cast of Netflix and Legendary’s Tomb Raider anime series. It is based on the Square Enix action-adventure video game that has spawned comic books and three feature films, with a fourth on the way.

Netflix is gearing up for the fall debut of Maya and the Three from creator Jorge R. Gutiérrez by revealing the animated series’ star-studded cast.

The new original series starring Stephen Amell (“Arrow“) and Alexander Ludwig (“Vikings“) a story about the men and women who pursue their dreams in the world of professional small-town wrestling.
