Kate Middleton and Prince William along with Prince George , Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are upping sticks and moving to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, according to new reports. The family will be swapping life in the city for a more rural choice and saying goodbye to Kensington Palace and all that London has to offer. The move to the country will give the Cambridge kids an upbringing similar to 40 year old Kate's, as she grew up in Berkshire with her family.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are saying goodbye to their home at Kensington Palace!According to the the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their three children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, will move to a new residence 30 miles away in the county of Berkshire -- home of Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth II resides.  The Cambridges' new home is speculated to be Adelaide Cottage, however, neither Kensington Palace nor the royal family has yet to confirm that information.

As the one time home of handsome pilot Group Captain Peter Townsend, the cosy country retreat close to Windsor Castle is thought to be the place where the former equerry to the Royal family and The Queen’s younger sister, Princess Margaret, first fell in love.Their passionate romance led to one of the biggest scandals of the post-war 20th century, exactly 70 years ago, when the secret of the pair’s long-running affair became public in 1952 and they were refused permission to marry because Townsend was by then a divorced man.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have added a sweet new photo to their home. The subtle addition in Kensington Palace, Apartment 1A, was spotted while Prince William took part in a video call from one of the rooms in the space. William sits on a beige couch in the clip shared on Twitter, and some photos can be seen in the background.

It's been regularly spoken recently that Prince William and Kate Middleton will move closer to the Queen.The married couple and their children currently split their time between Kensington Palace and their weekend home in Amner Hall in Norfolk. But, it has now been reported that the royal couple are eyeing up a move to Windsor as they see it as "the perfect place" to raise their brood.The residence the couple appear to have cast their eyes on is Adelaide Cottage, a residence built in 1831.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly planning on moving to Windsor this summer to be closer to the Queen.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are even said to have taken steps to look at schools in the area for their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. While their youngest son Prince Louis, three, is yet to start school. Kate, 40, and husband William, 39, are said to be looking at schools in Buckinghamshire, Windsor and Surrey – having said to have looked at Lambrook School in Ascot.
