Zack Snyder‘s “Rebel Moon” doesn’t premiere on Netflix until December, but nothing like some news in March to drum up hype. /Film reports that on top of Snyder’s upcoming space opera already being split into two parts, each of those parts will receive an R-rated cut, too.

Army of the Dead will return with a sequel – but that  he paused on the idea due to his busy schedule.In 2021, Snyder signed on for a follow-up film with Netflix as part of their two-year-first-look deal – but it won’t begin filming until his latest project Rebel Moon is completed.Snyder is currently working on an epic sci-fi film Rebel Moon, which he said needs most of his attention because it’s not “a small-time commitment”. The movie is set to arrive on Netflix this December and will tell the story of a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy” making a stand against “the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius.”During an interview with The Nerd Queens, the director explained why there is a delay in the Army of the Dead 2.

Ellise Shafer Enter the Snyderverse: Director Zack Snyder is hosting a three-day celebration of his films in April to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The weekend of screenings will take place on April 28-30, with all proceeds going to AFSP in honor of his daughter, Autumn Snyder, who died at the age of 20 in 2017. The three-day event will include director’s cuts of Snyder’s films followed by in-person and livestreamed Q&As with Snyder and special guests. The movies that will be shown include 2013’s “Man of Steel,” 2016’s “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition” and 2021’s “Zack Snyder’s Justice League.” Screenings will take place in Los Angeles at the Ahmanson Auditorium at ArtCenter College of Design on April 28 and 29, with a third screening on April 30 at Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood. Snyder earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from ArtCenter in 1989 and serves on the college’s board of trustees.

Fury Of The Gods has failed at the box office.The DC sequel earned $30million (£24million) at the domestic box office in its opening weekend, which is well below the $53million (£44million) the original Shazam! opened with in 2019.Fury Of The Gods cost a reported $110million (£90million) to make and a further $100million (£80million) to market, so the film has recorded a huge loss overall.Levi, who stars as the titular hero in both films, made sure not to blame Snyder fans for the box office failure but acknowledged that many of them would be happy to see the film underperform after Warner Bros. dropped Snyder’s DC Universe.“There is no denying that at the moment there are many Snyder fans who are happy for the failure of your film and many of them wish that everything that is to come fails just for not continuing with the films of their director,” one fan wrote to Levi on Twitter.“This is also true,” Levi replied in a since deleted tweet.

James Gunn and Peter Safran are now in charge of the DC Universe and are rebooting it with films such as “Superman: Legacy,” which will not feature Snyder’s Superman actor Henry Cavill.

Ben Affleck has vowed to never direct a DC movie, following his “monstrous” experience while filming the original Justice League.The former Batman actor says that he has no interest in working with James Gunn and the new iteration of DC Studios. Affleck went as far as to say he would “absolutely not” work with Gunn on anything DC related.“I would not direct something for the [James] Gunn DC. Absolutely not,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
