Zac Efron has fuelled speculation that he is making a return to the High School Musical franchise after posing outside a tell-tale location from the series.The Hollywood actor, 34, rose to fame in 2006 when he first starred as the character Troy Bolton in the blockbuster film franchise. He later reprised the role in 2007 in the first sequel of the film, and then again in the third instalment in 2008 – the first to be on the big screen.
While he has since distanced himself from the High School Musical franchise, his latest social media post has signalled that he had made a full return to the character that made him world famous. The star shared a snap on Instagram of himself posing outside a building and penned: "Don’t you… Forget about me", alongside a fist emoji.
His appearance quickly sparked hopes he will appear in the upcoming third season of High School Musical: The Musical series, or even that they'll be a film reboot with the original cast. One follower wrote: “But but but...
