The finale’s viewership is impressive, considering the finale was the first episode not to have a Dexter lead-in.
Yellowjackets also more than doubled its audience, and Showtime added that streaming viewership for the show quadrupled over the course of the season.
It’s averaging more than 5 million weekly viewers, the highest for a freshman series on the network in almost six years, since Billions in early 2016.
Starring Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis and Tawny Cypress, the series centers on a talented high school girls’ soccer team who descend into savage clans after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness.
