Pedestrians in a Cheshire town have found themselves the victims of 'idiot' drive-by splashers after being squirted by a mystery liquid. Multiple people claimed to have been targeted by a white Fiat 500 on Sunday (October 2) and Monday (October 3).
The pedestrians were walking along the pavement in Alsager when they were suddenly drenched through the window of the car, with the liquid getting onto their faces and in some cases in their eyes. It is believed the liquid was harmless water.
Among those to get a soaking included Lucy Twentyman who was making her way down Lawton Road shortly after 6pm on Monday when she was hit in the face, reports Stoke-on-Trent Live.

Another couple were targeted in Crewe Road, reports CheshireLive. Urging people to be aware, the woman wrote on Facebook: "I’m absolutely fuming as I was walking down the road a white Fiat 500 passed me and my husband and we were squirted with liquid which went all over us and straight into my eyes.
"Thankfully we think it was just water but it came as a shock which I’m sure they found extremely funny. It isn’t funny when you hear about these acid attacks, it’s very scary. They also sprayed another couple further down the road so please be aware of these idiots."
A third victim said: "My husband and I were just as disgusted by this reckless behaviour. It's not funny and could be
